Equipment review of quick release 2" Olmpic bar locking clamps.

Ok. So the reason i purchased this was because using the ones laying around the gym was starting to drive me crazy. When i wasnt busy looking around for a spare set of springs i was getting frustrated at how damaged they were and spending too long either wrestling them on or off the bar. On top of this i have been "bitten" by them on several occasions.

Whilst this might not bother some people, it had started to become something of nightmare for me. Espcially when i would be working my sets in with a friend and we both have different weights that we need to load onto the bar. This would lead to a lot of wasted time and curse words.

I finally bit the bullet and got a set of these. I have never been more in love with something so simple! 10 out of 10!

The mechanism is simple to use and they take less than a second to open and close.

They grip the bar very will and prevent the plates from rattling since the inside of the clamp is rubber, which compresses to the bar when the clamp is closed. The flat edges also allow them to mount flush with the plates, unlike conventional springs which leave a gap.

Would recomment these 100% to anyone that uses any type of 2" barbell in or out of the gym. (Alternatively you can buy a 1" set)

I even went out and bought a second set for my gym buddy the next day since he mentioned how much he was impressed by them.
