The FAST experiment - The plan

After an ongoing struggle with following a strict macro diet i have been looking around to find a simpler diet that would work for me.
Currently i have been following a macro diet based around high protein consumption. This has improved my physical appearance by helping me to gain 5kg of lean muscle and lead me to look leaner and more muscular, however... its a lot of work. Writing down protein, carbs and fat for everything i eat gives me a bad relationship with food. Contradictory to this i have also found that not counting is even worse as it leads me to over eating.
So i need to find something in the middle...
My current plan is to aim for a 24 hour fast twice a week. Depending on how i feel i will tweak and track...
How i feel
Productivity
Workouts
Weight
Body composition
Food consumed etc
I have tried intermittent fasting before and noted that it wasn't much of a jump from how i normally eat anyway. I've never bothered much with breakfast and when i am working i would eat around 12ish. Its probably for this reason that i did not feel a huge benefit from this style of fast so i have bumped it up to 24 hours and plan on only consuming water.
Current stats
Weight: 164kg
BF: 24%
Bench: 50kg
Squat: 80kg
Deadlift: 130kg - Sumo
I will post more information regarding the research side of this in my articles section if you wish to read more regarding the science behind this.
